Contraction Monitor is designed for pregnancy mums to track contractions.

Regular contraction is an importance sign of labor, when that big time is approaching, duration of contraction becomes longer and stronger, frequency becomes shorter. And contractions will show their laws when true labor is coming, so keep tracking contractions will help you distinguish true labor from ‘false’ labor. Graph of contraction duration and frequency makes it easy for you to see the tendency of contractions.

The operation is very easy, just press the button when contraction starts and press the button again when it ends, Contraction Monitor will log the start time, end time, duration and frequency and intensity of this contraction.

Features:
⁃ Log start time, end time, duration, frequency and intensity of contractions.
⁃ Analyze contractions by chart and histogram.
⁃ Calculate the average duration and frequency of latest three, five, ten and all contractions.
⁃ Add note to each contraction.
⁃ Share your contraction data with your doctor or friends by email.
⁃ Continue contraction where you left off in the condition that you make a call or play other apps while logging contraction.
⁃ Calculate your delivery due date, show days remaining to your due date and days passed from your last menstrual period.
⁃ Contact module for you to add your labor contacts, you can call them conveniently by one touch if your baby is coming when you are logging contractions.
⁃ Passcode function to protect your info.
⁃ Supports Touch ID or Face ID as passcode.
⁃ Support edit function for contraction logs.
⁃ Support migrate data from free version.

Pros and cons of Contraction Monitor Pro app for iPhone and iPad

Contraction Monitor Pro app good for

Its true you only get 20 contractions to record for free then you have to pay 99 cents. Its a worthwhile app, the developers should just be upfront and charge the price at the start.
No easier way to grab a sale than to get someone in the height of contractions to pay the 0.99cents once the limit of 20 is reached on the free version. Get you at your most vulnerable. On the other hand, I thought the app was super easy to use and read.
I like the app because is easy to use and it has a clean design. It would be great if it also had an option to mark if the contractions are Braxton Hicks or actual labor ones besides the intensity. It also would be really helpful if the app had an option to see how many contractions per day there were (or a graphic per day).
Does all that is needed. Easy to record contractions and nice graphs and stats to see patterns
I used this ap throughout my labour before going to the hospital. Loved the Summary function. So much easier to use this than to try and time things. Recommend having whoever is with you decipher the History once things are really underway though, it can be a bit complicated to understand between contractions.

Some bad moments

This app is great in theory, I downloaded the free one in preparation for my friends birth. It worked really well for a while tracking about 20 contractions or so. But then it started pushing you to upgrade for the paid version- talk about unethical selling tactics! It started to delay being able to record contractions and said you could only record x number more. I bought the paid version only to be frustrated that it started all over again rather than syncing with the free app and saving contraction history. THIS IS NOT A FREE APP... I wish it just had been upfront instead of trying to sell people when they have much better things to focus on. Shameful
You can use the app for 20 contractions then all of a sudden it stops keeping track as youve apparently reached the limit. There is no indication of that anywhere until your busy/stressed trying to keep time of the contractions. What a bunch of bottom feeders who came up with this forced selling method!
I downloaded this app at 4am in the midst of contractions. It wasnt so much the 99 cent charge but rather that I had to try and get the paid version while doped up on morphine and trying to count. It didnt tell me in advance but when I tried to restart the counter. Please oh please if you have any mercy for your target audience, please let them know in advance!
I read the reviews BEFORE buying/trying the app, so please keep in mind that the demo version only lasts for approx. 20 contractions. Great app, very well balanced and gives good feedback. Totally worth the money. :)
Very Helpful, easy to use. My biggest challenge was remembering to hit start! Get someone to help you when you start to get distracted.
This app was extremely helpful since I went into labor when my husband was away. It was easy for me to use and was excellent for keeping track of my progress. I think it kept me focused enough to not freak out about being home alone.
